NATO supports Ukraine's request for assistance

NATO supported the request from Ukraine for future assistance from partner countries to eliminate the aftermath of the emergency incident at a military arsenal in Balaklia near Kharkiv. This was announced by Head of the Alliance in our country Olexander Vinnikov.

According to him, within the NATO program "For the sake of peace and security" the parties discuss ways to strengthen support for Ukraine. A group of representatives from the military attaché of the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine visited the 65th arsenal to determine the scope and nature of future assistance from partner countries to eliminate the emergency incident.
Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister for European and North Atlantic integration Ivanna Klympush-Tsintsadze said that the US and Slovakia expressed their readiness to assist in demining military arsenal in Balaklia in cooperation with the Euro-Atlantic Coordination Center for Disaster Response.
