Rail blockade of Donbas continues

For the transit of goods across the disengagement line with the temporarily occupied territories of Donbas the SBU (Security Service of Ukraine) last year issued 96,000 permits, and only 4,000 of them were related to coal. This was reported on Ukrainian radio by co-coordinator of the Staff of trade blockade with militants Anatoly Vynohorodskyy .

As you know, some sections of the railway in the East are blocked from January 25 by ATO veterans and some MPs. Now activists are planning to block automobile communication too with the territories temporarily uncontrolled by Ukrainian authority.

DPR, LPR heads in a joint stament warned Kyiv that unless the blockade is lifted on March 1 they will appoint external management at every enterprise under Ukrainian jurisdiction operating in the DPR and the LPR.The DPR and LPR would also stop coal supply to Kyiv, the statement says.

In an interview with the program "TSN.Tyzhden" Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that the Government during the next session is to consider the draft resolution on the settlement of goods transit with temporarily occupied territories of Donbas.
