The Verkhovna Rada (the Ukrainian Parliament) adopted in the first reading a bill that provides for granting the status of combatants to Maidan activists who were injured during the protests three years ago.
It is planned to make a number of amendments during the second reading. The Parliament also endorsed amendments that allow allocation of land to perpetuate the memory of the heroes of the Heavenly Hundred.
