Protest rallies under way near Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada building

Two protest rallies are in under way near Ukraine's Verkhovna Rada building in central Kyiv.

People are holding a protest action with the demand "to return [increased] pensions for Chornobyl [nuclear disaster-affected people]" on Constitution Square. They are also carrying the state flags with the slogan 'Chernobyl firemen are calling for appropriate pension security.'

Nearly 100 people have blocked the traffic along Hrushevskoho Street near the parliament building with the demand to dismiss Interior Minister Arsen Avakov.The participants in the action are carrying posters with relevant slogans.
