Lliving-wage  and minimum wage to rise

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine adopted in the first reading the draft state budget for 2017. Some 230 votes of the required 226 supported the decision. According to the document, in particular, the average monthly wage in the next year will be about UAH 6,000, cost of living: 1 544 hryvnia - from January 1, 2017, UAH 1624 - from May 1 and UAH 1700 - from December 1. Simultaneously, it is planned to increase the minimum wage by 10%. Some political forces offered to increase these figures by half. The proposal to abolish the taxation of pensions of pensioners who still work, were rejected. However, the government has promised to revise this norm.

The bill on the state budget is considered in three readings by the Parliament - the first no later than October 20, and third reading - before November 25.
