"Underestimated prices were used to write-off cheap gas for households and resell it at market prices. The annual volume of such losses amounted to about $1 billion. Ukraine lost a total of $53 billion over the years of independence. The huge resource was lost and taken away from Ukrainian people. According to Groysman, the establishment of a uniform gas price contributes to combating corruption in the gas sector.
