New temperature record in Kyiv in 44 years

"According to meteorological observations by Central Geophysical Observatory, the average daily record temperature on that day was beaten on Dec. 22. Thermometer readings rose to + 6.4 C or 1.5 C warmer than the previous historical temperature record set in 1971," a statement said. Given the weather forecast by Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, there is a high probability of breaking the maximum temperature in Kyiv on 23 December too.
