World Bank experts propose that Kyiv optimizes 90 bus routes to develop transport network

The press service of the Kyiv City Administration reported that it is proposed that the shuttle bus service using smaller vehicles be replaced with larger buses and trolleybuses. Currently, the city has 72 bus routes, 45 trolleybus routes, 21 tram routes and 177 shuttle bus routes. "The optimization of municipal transport routes will be gradual and after careful consideration. The city should prepare for optimization, buy additional buses, trolleybuses and trams or involve private carriers in cooperation," head of the transport infrastructure department Oleksandr Kozlovsky said.
