Ukraine reliable gas transit country – European Commission

“In spite of the difficult political situation, Ukraine proved that over 2014-2015 years it was a reliable partner for transiting Russian gas. The EU is sure that all partners are interested that Ukraine can remain important gas transit country,” the European commission reported. The European Commission also noted that gas imports to Ukraine through Slovakia significantly increased in 2015, what lessened the dependence of Ukraine on Russia in the sphere of energy.
