Prime Minister Arseniy Yatseniuk believes that the Ukrainian oligarchs should help restore Donetsk and Luhansk regions; he said this at a briefing on the Karachun Mountain in Sloviansk.
"It would be quite fair if the Ukrainian oligarchs will take part in the reconstruction of Donetsk and Luhansk regions," Yatseniuk said. According to him, in such hard times that Ukraine is now facing, everyone, including the oligarchs, should "chip in" for the reconstruction of the damaged areas. The prime minister said that according to preliminary data, the size of the damage inflicted on all objects of Donetsk and Luhansk regions is UAH 8 billion. He noted that due to the continuation of hostilities, losses will increase. He also added that the EU will send an expert group to establish the scope of the damage.
