Since the beginning of armed confrontation in Eastern Ukraine in April, 225 people have died in Donetsk region and 45 in Luhansk region, the press service of the Ukrainian Health Ministry reports.
"Since the beginning of confrontation in the east of Ukraine to this day according to the Donetsk regional administration's health department, 225 people have died in Donetsk region (confirmed by forensic medicine bureau). There are also tentative reports of the death of two children," the ministry says. In addition, 576 people have sought medical assistance in relation to wounds and 150 of them remain in hospitals. Meanwhile, the health department of Luhansk regional administration reports the death of 45 people (confirmed by the forensic medicine bureau). A total of 137 people were injured.
