All foreign crew members of the Greenpeace ship Arctic Sunrise have received passports and visas allowing them to leave Russia.
As we have reported, Russian border guards detained 30 Greenpeace activists and crewmembers of the Arctic Sunrise, including the Ukrainian cook, Ruslan Yakushev, during an action of protest against oil drilling in the Pechora Sea on September 19th. They were brought to Murmansk where a local court charged them with hooliganism and issued a 60-day arrest warrant. In November, they were transferred to St. Petersburg where they were released on bail. They were amnestied on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the Russian constitution on December 18th.
