"Ukraine is definitely set to sign the Association Agreement with the European Union. Kyiv took a pause in order to be properly prepared, but the talks with the EU continue," Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara said at a press conference in Kyiv.
"Since the Vilnius summit we have held two rounds of talks in Brussels. As soon as the Christmas and New Year vacations in Europe are over, the talks will be resumed," Kozhara said. He ruled out any amendments to the agreement, saying, "The text of the Association Agreement with the EU is not subject to corrections. This is the position of both the EU and Ukraine. We have a number of remarks and reservations concerning the implementation. At present, the government has identified the basic parameters that would allow us to implement this Agreement in keeping with our national interests," Kozhara said.
