In 2014, during Ukraine's presidency in the Commonwealth, Ukraine will concentrate on realization of all provisions of the Free Trade Area Agreement in the CIS.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov has said about this during a joint press conference with heads of governments of Russia Dmitry Medvedev and the Republic of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich in St. Petersburg Wednesday, Ukrinform reports. “We will focus on realization of all provisions of the Free Trade Area Agreement in the CIS - this is extremely important, and just due to this we will work and propose the mechanisms that have not been realized yet,” Azarov said. He stressed that the matter concerns, in particular, concluding of the agreement on free access to the pipeline transport, gradual reduction and abolishment of export customs duties in trade and regulation of the export purchase sphere. “It is also necessary to focus on preparation of the Free Trade Area Agreement in the sphere of services. This would make the CIS cite unique from the viewpoint of functioning of such fundamental agreements,” the Prime Minister of Ukraine stressed.
