Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov says that Ukraine and Russia should sign a roadmap on the development of industrial cooperation.
"We hope that we will manage to agree with the Russian government on a so-called roadmap for the development of our industrial cooperation. We signed a roadmap with Belarus recently, and we can see benefits from this document," the premier said in an interview with the Rossiya 24 television channel. According to Azarov, the document signed by Ukraine and Belarus determines the sides responsible for the implementation of projects, and sets specific deadlines. "And this document, unlike general declarations, allows us to sum up our achievements at such meetings [the Ukrainian-Russian intergovernmental committee on economic cooperation will meet in Kaluga (Russia) on October 15]," Azarov said. As reported, on October 7, 2013 a roadmap on the development of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and Belarus for 2013-2015 was signed during an official visit by Azarov to Minsk.
