The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has improved its forecast for Ukraine's GDP growth in 2013 to 0.4 percent from zero compared to the April expectations.
The assessment is given in the World Economic Outlook (WEO), released by the IMF on October 8. Ukraine's GDP growth in 2014 is projected at 1.5%, while in April it was expected at 2.8%. The IMF also predicts zero average annual inflation in Ukraine this year, while earlier it forecast its rise by half percent. Earlier, the World Bank downgraded its forecast for Ukraine's GDP growth in 2013 to zero from the 1% that was expected in April.
