"The Cabinet of Ministers has completed the economic analysis of all possible effects from the establishment of a deep and comprehensive free trade area with the European Union. Preparations for signing the EU-Ukraine Association Agreement at the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius proceed in accordance with the plan agreed with the European Commission," Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said in Kyiv on Friday.
He met with former Polish President Alexander Kwasniewski and former European Parliament President Pat Cox who lead the European Parliament's monitoring mission to Ukraine. Kwasniewski and Cox also met with Ukraine's National Security and Defence Council Secretary Andriy Klyuyev to discuss preparations for signing the Association Agreement. Klyuyev briefed them on the implementation status of the agreements reached at the EU-Ukraine summit in February and Ukraine's further steps in reforming the law enforcement and judicial systems and fighting corruption.
