A joint Ukrainian-Polish conference on shale gas production in Ukraine and Poland will be held in Warsaw on April 11, 2013, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has reported.
"The event will be held under the auspices of the Ukrainian-Polish Chamber of Commerce and with the assistance of the Foreign Ministry and the Economy Ministry of Poland," Acting Director of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry's Information Policy Department Yevhen Perebyinis said at a briefing on Wednesday. He said the participants in the conference, involving experts, practitioners, representatives of state and local government agencies, businesses and other interested persons, would discuss a number of topical issues in the context of the development of the fuel and energy sector of the two countries. Journalists from leading business publications are invited to participate in the conference. According to the Foreign Ministry, the main subject of the event will be shale gas production in Ukraine and Poland, as well as cooperation between the two countries in this sphere.
