Opposition lacks tolerance

19-03-2013 12:15

The leader of the Party of Regions' faction, Oleksandr Yefremov, said that the president and the prime minister can appear in parliament if the parliamentary opposition is tolerant. He said this during the conciliation board meeting on the prime minister's possible coming to parliament March 22. "If we make sure that we will behave in the session hall as civilized people, I'm more than sure that the president and the prime minister will regularly communicate with parliament," the MP said.

Yefremov also noted that, in his opinion, it is inadmissible when the opposition offends people who represent the state power. As reported, the president's representative to parliament, MP Yuriy Miroshnichenko on March 6 said that the president was preparing a message to parliament, which this year will be submitted in a written form. He noted that the president regularly visits the parliament, but the lawmakers are not always ready to listen to him. The Verkhovna Rada is planning to hold an hour of questions to the government on March 22.
