UAH 400 billion of investment resources to be attracted for modernization of Ukrainian industry

19-03-2013 13:19

It is planned to be realized under the new program of revitalization of the economy. This is what Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said during a press conference in Kiev.

According to him, some UAH 50 billion will be spent by the state in the form of direct allocations from the state budget to promising industrial projects and loans guaranteed by the Government. Mykola Azarov mentioned the projects to be implemented soon. He also said that Ukraine is currently negotiating the status of observer in the Customs Union. According to the head of the Government, the status of observer in the Customs Union, will give the country an opportunity to avoid discrimination measures in trade with the Customs Union member countries. The Customs Union includes Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus. Earlier, the government of Ukraine offered to discuss co-operation with the Union in the format "3 +1". But Russia flatly refused this idea. During the recent meeting with the Russian president this month, Viktor Yanukovych said that the  format cooperation of Ukraine with the Customs Union should be determined during negotiations involving all members of this association.
