Ukraine is hoping to complete by May the negotiations on an agreement on free trade in services within the Commonwealth of Independent States, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine Ihor Prasolov told reporters on the sidelines of the 57th meeting of the CIS Economic Council in Moscow, according to Ukrinform.
"We want to finalize the documents by May. When the heads of governments meet, we will try to sign the document," Prasolov said. He also reminded that Ukraine initiated the creation of a free trade zone within the CIS. "Now the agenda includes the issue of signing the agreement on free trade in services," he said. According to him, Ukrainian services turnover is about $20 billion, of which CIS countries account for $7.3 billion.
