15-03-2013 15:28

One of the main objectives of the Ukrainian government is to provide citizens with high-quality products and services that would meet EU standards.

Prime Minister Mykola Azarov said this in his felicitation speech on the occasion of the World Consumer Rights Day, the Cabinet of Ministers' press service reported. "In maintaining the balance between the interests of the authority, producers and consumers, we are committed to open partnership and effective functioning of the market, which will ensure the quality of life of Ukrainians in accordance with the standards of the European Community," the head of government noted. He thanked the employees of state agencies and nongovernmental organizations who dedicated their work to the protection of consumer rights. "I believe that a balanced consumer policy will continue to contribute to economic development of the state, higher competitiveness of domestic products, and better quality of life of the Ukrainian people," Azarov said.
