"Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara is expected to visit Russia on March 29th," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Friday after a meeting in Moscow between Russia's deputy foreign minister Grigory Karasin and his Ukrainian counterpart Ruslan Demchenko.
They discussed topical issues of Russo-Ukrainian cooperation, the Russian Black Sea Fleet's presence and operation in Ukraine, and current international and regional issues, including the Transdniestrian conflict settlement, the statement reads. Karasin and Demchenko also discussed humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Ukraine, including the joint activities to mark the 1025th anniversary of the Baptism of Kiev Rus and the 200th anniversary of the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko in 2014.
