The winners of Charitable Ukraine 2012 contest will be awarded in the Ukrainian House in Kyiv on March 14.
As President of Philanthropists' Association of Ukraine Oleksandr Maksymchuk reported at the press conference in Kyiv on Tuesday, the contest commission of over 20 experts chose the winners in each category (philanthropist of large-, middle- and small-sized business, nationwide and regional charitable foundation, philanthropic NGO, charitable children's or youth organization etc.) The Philanthropists' Association of Ukraine initiated the contest. According to the organizers, an application for participation in the contest could be submitted until February 20 by the organizations themselves, as well as people that received a charitable aid. Philanthropic projects that were implemented from January 1 to December 31, 2012 could be entered in the contest. 212 applications for the contest have been submitted on the whole. Before the awarding of the winners of the contest there will be an auction that puts on display about 50 lots from the Philanthropists' Association of Ukraine. Political and public figures will present amber "Angels of Good" to the winners of the contest.
