Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych has again said Ukraine is ready to join in those provisions of the Russia-Belarus-Kazakhstan Customs Union that do not conflict with the country's international obligations.
"We are ready to join all those provisions of the Customs Union that do not conflict with our international obligations and WTO rules, to create conditions for our producers, for our economy, to remove the obstacles that currently exist," he said in Kaniv, central Ukraine on Wednesday. Yanukovych said that if they find a mutually acceptable format of cooperation the volume of trade will grow. Trade with Russia, for instance, decreased in 2012, the president said. He noted that talks on this might take place in April.
