Ukrainian aerospace industry should look for ways to enter international market, says premier

The main tasks for the leadership of the Ukrainian space sector are to search for new contracts and gain access to the world market, Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov has said.

"We have set a task for the leadership of the aerospace industry to search for new contracts and gain access to the international arena," Azarov told reporters after visiting the Kyivprylad state enterprise in Kyiv on Thursday. At the same time, the prime minister said that the development of space sector could be also stimulated through the domestic market. He noted that on February 27 the government approved a state program for the revitalization of Ukraine's economy for 2013-2014. An important part of the program provides for the development of the domestic aerospace industry.
