Public Broadcasting in Ukraine can be created in Ukraine not earlier than 2015

Due to political and economic reasons it could be created not earlier than 2015.This opinion was expressed during an extended meeting of the Board of the State Committee for radio and television broadcasting, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Freedom of Speech and Information Mykola Tomenko.

According to him, during the transition stage it is important to retain state and municipal media. Public councils will become first step towards creation of public broadcasting. Public councils with the involvement of authoritative specialists will help make program, and editorial policy, Mykola Tomenko believes.
